From the Pastor’s Desk
This Thursday evening you and your family are invited to join us here on the church grounds for our community gospel outreach. A time for the children to have some safe fun fellowship and also an opportunity for CCSH to share the power of the gospel message. Also I want to encourage you to prayerfully consider being a part of our Andrew Sunday outreach. It’s a unique and safe approach to encourage people we love and know to join us for a special service here at CCSH where they will receive the gift of a Bible purchased by you for them and also enjoy a time of fellowship with a light meal directly after the service. You can be part of this gospel outreach by signing up at the information desk – John 1:40 One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ). 42 And he brought him to Jesus.

Helen’s Heart
The Bible – how important it is, yet so many of us can slip out the door and forget to bring it with us. The word is called the ‘sword of the Spirit’ – Eph 6:17. Even our Lord when attacked by satan countered with “It is written” (Matt 4). If Jesus uses the sword – His Word to defeat the enemy , why do we think we can do without it? Where is your sword – is it ready on your mind and in your heart or is it gathering dust on the coffee table? We have a great example in the Lord wielding His sword to gain victory against the enemy. Follow His example and win the battles set before you. Have a victorious week – Helen.
