Time to make the right choice!
To be a considered to be a follower of Jesus Christ we must have made a choice. To choose to repent of our sins, to choose to seek God’s grace and forgiveness and to choose to ask Jesus Christ to be our Lord and Saviour!
But we also have to choose – just as Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden – to obey or rebel against Him.
Each day we live, day by day and hour by hour we continue to make this same choice – to obey or disobey Him.
But from the day we made that first initial choice to receive Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit took up residence in our lives, to enable us, to help us, to empower us to make the right choices.
A Christian is indeed someone whose life has been changed, renewed in purpose and passion. To live for God!
We live in a time like no other, but God desires us to accept the challenge if we are to follow Him and deny ourselves in our choices.
To deny our selfish ambitions, our own sinful pleasures and to each take up our cross.
I pray that you view the start of each day as a blessed canvas for you to create a picture that is pleasing to God. One of you consistently making the right choice to obey and glorify your Saviour and Lord – Jesus Christ.
Living this way makes you look forward to each new day, each situation you face, to see each one as an opportunity that God has brought to you, to be able to reveal and demonstrate your love for Him and your desire to please Him.
It’s the only way to live!
“If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” – Matthew 16:24
